About your next challenge as Inventory Coordinator :
Under the supervision of the Material Management Manager, the Inventory Coordinator is responsible for coordinating inventory taking at the various sites. You will also participate in defining and implementing logistics strategies to ensure that an optimal inventory level is maintained to support Mirabel’s operations. You will be required to work closely with several functions in the company (program, purchasing, method, production and finance) in a multi-site context.
What you will do:
- You are responsible for coordinating inventory counts at the various sites for parts and tools belonging to L3 and customers;
- In collaboration with other departments, create and share a detailed inventory plan that meets the schedule;
- Provide estimates of hours and labor required to carry out the plan;
- Plan and coordinate inventory counts according to the plan established with the various stakeholders (Warehouse, Planning, Material Management, etc.);
- Demonstrate leadership in order to follow the defined plan and meet deadlines;
- Prepare and provide various inventory reports to the client based on contractual requirements;
- Prepare and provide various inventory reports for the finance group;
- Analyze system data to:
- Identify and implement inventory level management strategies (Min/Max);
- Identify and manage obsolete inventory;
- Identify, analyze and report inventory discrepancies, adjustments, causes of stockouts;
- Identify, analyze and communicate the optimal inventory rotation method;
- Participate in various inventory management improvement projects;
- Simplify work methods and reduce cycles;
- Propose and document recommendations to optimize activities related to inventory taking.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Hold a University degree in Operations Management and 5 years of experience in inventory management;
- Knowledge of the inventory management module in SAP or other ERP (an asset);
- Advanced knowledge of Excel required;
- Bilingual in writing and speaking (French and English);
- Autonomy and ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to work in a changing environment and to structure;
- Rigor, teamwork, structured person;
- Ease of adapting to changes;
- Open to traveling to our other sites (10% of the time);
- The knowledge of the English language, other than French is necessary due to contractual requirements.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
