Job Description:
As a Senior Finance Business Analyst in the Software Asset Management team, you will be an expert resource, responsible for overseeing complex analyses of IT software expenditures, leading cost analysis projects on software contracts, and developing sophisticated financial forecasts for IT software spend. Your role will be pivotal in identifying strategic opportunities for cost reduction and optimizing the company's software investment.
Essential Functions:
- IT Software Spend Tracking: Maintain accurate records of all IT software expenditures, ensuring alignment with company policies and budgetary constraints.
- Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis on software contracts to identify cost drivers, trends, and areas for potential savings.
- Financial Forecasting: Develop and maintain multi-year financial forecasts for IT software spend, incorporating historical data and projected company growth.
- Spend Analytics: Analyze software spend data to uncover trends, root causes of cost increases, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Cost Reduction Initiatives: Recommend and help implement strategies for software cost savings, including renegotiation of contracts and exploration of alternative solutions.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on IT software spend, forecast accuracy, and cost-saving initiatives for review by IT Finance and Executive Leadership.
- Policy Adherence: Stay up-to-date with and adhere to the company's IT procurement policies and approval processes.
- Risk Assessment: Evaluate financial risks associated with software investments and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
- Spend Visibility: Enhance spend visibility by developing dashboards or leveraging spend management tools to provide real-time insights into software expenditures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a focus on IT software spend.
- Expertise in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in advanced financial software and data visualization tools.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Experience with Hyperion.
- Experience with Power BI.
