Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead a large portfolio for the Radar Enterprise within the Surveillance Solutions Division. The Principal Program Manager is responsible for overall program management and is accountable for program execution, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. This position will have a direct interface with customers.

Essential Functions:

• Program Management responsibility for the Radar suite of programs revenue of $6M including profit and loss, execution of existing business, and the successful capture of new pursuits
• Drive program execution with responsibility for managing the cost, schedule, and technical performance requirements of all enterprise programs through all phases from inception to completion to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs Development and management of financial forecasts including solid acumen in EVMS
• Responsible for customer relationship management to determine needs, requirements, and new business opportunities
• Participate in the negotiation of contract and contract changes
• Act as primary customer contact for program activities including leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance
• Direct the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budget and financial terms/conditions of contracts
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules as well as identify program problems and obtain solutions such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications
• Ensure all resources including engineering and operations are available to support the enterprise
• Partner with engineering on design concepts, criteria, and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration, and test
• In collaboration with engineering expand the product line with the customer
• Coordinate, support, and drive strategic growth planning for the enterprise and business area
• Participate in overall marketing strategies and business planning in support of L3Harris initiatives and strategic corporate business pursuits Lead and support planning and involvement in applicable trade shows when required
• Travel as required by the customer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
• At least 5 to 8 years of experience in the development and/or operation of complex military radar systems
• Must be familiar with basic radar theory and be able to define radar configurations
• 5 plus years of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) experience
• 3 plus years of P&L ownership responsibilities

• Objective thinker, with ability to solve highly complex problems with significant business impact
• problem solver with ability to execute challenging tasks to completion
• PMP certification
• Six Sigma certification
• Able to provide/reinforce the credibility and commitment of L3Harris at appropriate executive levels within the customer community
• Understanding of the customer procurement processes and government funding approval
• Ability to make effective decisions regarding the profitability and achievability of pursuits

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $147,000-$273,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
