Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to support the Colorado Springs, CO office to include contribution to development and maintenance of Configuration Management Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Tool. 

Essential Functions:

  • Implementation of hardware, software and system configuration management principles in PLM Tool
  • Understanding of Configuration Management, Change Management, Bill of Materials, Engineering Design Drawings and Closed Loop Status Accounting Processes
  • Responsible for interfacing daily with configuration management and program team members
  • Troubleshooting helpdesk calls from PLM users
  • PML metric reporting
  • Ensure workflows in the PLM Tool are compliant with approved configuration management plans, contractual requirements, EIA-649 National Consesus Standard for Configuration Management and EIA-649-1 Configuration Management Requirements for Defense Contracts
  • Generate test procedures to be used for upgrades and patches
  • Analyze proposed changes to determine their effect on the overall system

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
  • Willing to work overtime and/or outside of normal business hours as needed to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of EIA-649B and MIL-STD-973 Configuration Management Principles as they apply to both Hardware and Software
  • Experience with Microsoft products: SQL Server, .NET and Windows Server.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Reading and understanding Contract Statements of Work and Performance Work Statements
  • Experience with Aras Innovator
  • Experience with Adobe Pro or Nitro Pro, JIRA, Confluence as well as the Microsoft Office Suite of Programs to include MS Project and Visio
  • Experience with environments composed of web clients, application servers(s), database(s) and file vaulting servers(s) based on standard Internet protocols including HTTP/HTTPS, XML and SOAP.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate flexibility in daily work
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member to achieve team objectives
  • Experience with Aras Innovator and Agile PDM
  • Understanding of DoD-STD-963 "Data Item Descriptions" and DD Form 1423's including formatting requirements included therein
  • Understanding of DoD 50101.12-M Procedures for the Acquisition and Management of Technical Data

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $73,500 - $136,500 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
