Job Description: 
The Industrial Security professional is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing security programs and procedures to safeguard classified, sensitive, and proprietary materials, documents, and equipment. This role involves researching and applying federal security regulations while ensuring compliance across various disciplines, including finance, cybersecurity, information technology, and trade. You will also collaborate with government agencies to obtain rulings, interpretations, and authorized deviations to maintain compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include preparing detailed manuals outlining security protocols, establishing procedures for the handling, storage, retention, and access to restricted materials, and conducting security education and training programs. You will perform regular security audits, investigate violations, and provide thorough reports with corrective action recommendations. Additionally, this role involves collecting, analyzing, and distributing intelligence to relevant stakeholders and investigative authorities.

You will conduct self-inspection audits to assess compliance, troubleshoot security issues, and work independently as needed. Effective communication with employees at all levels, as well as government customers, is essential to ensure security standards are met. Collaboration with the security team on a variety of departmental assignments will also be key. The ideal candidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at managing diverse tasks, and work well within a collaborative team setting.

Essential Functions:
•    Assists in the development and implementation of policies and operating procedures supporting government, customer agency requirements.
•    Conducts security education classes and security self-inspection audits.
•    Prepares manuals outlining regulations and establishes procedures for handling, storing, record keeping, and for granting personnel and visitor’s access to restricted records and materials.
•    Investigates security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken.
•    Oversees the installation and maintenance of all alarm and access control systems.
•    Works together with teammates to produce results.
•    Communicates with all levels of employees and government customers.
•    Troubleshoots issues and works independently.
•    The selected candidate should thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels.

Qualifications:
•    Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
•    Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:
•    Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Server operating systems.
•    General understanding of DoD Manual 5205.07 Volumes 1-4, DoD Instruction 5205.11, NISPOM, and ICD 705, with practical expertise typically gained through advanced education and hands-on experience in the field.
•    Highly adaptable, able to adjust to shifting requirements, schedules, and priorities.
•    Skilled in presenting ideas, offering recommendations, and driving team consensus.
•    Strong time management and task prioritization abilities, ensuring efficient workflow.
•    Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•    Proven ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
•    Collaborative team player, working effectively with others to achieve common goals.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $75,000 - $139,000. is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
