Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a Specialist, Integration/Test Engineering, RC-135 Mission Systems, for our location at RAF Mildenhall, United Kingdom providing maintenance, test, and sustainment on extremely complex airborne and ground-based systems for the US Air Force’s RC-135 aircraft. These include:
- Operating LOS and SATCOM radios in voice, text, and data modes
- Configuring, loading, operating, and maintaining various crypto devices
- Performing configuration, setup, and usage of Data Transfer Devices
- Operating and sustaining various datalinks and broadband communications
- Troubleshooting/Repairing HF, VHF, UHF, and SHF systems
- Operating and sustaining digital/computer-based systems, associated networks, digital and analog audio/interphone and recorder systems
- Repairing coax, ethernet, and multi-pin cables and connections
- Utilizing electronic schematic diagrams to troubleshoot and repair digital and analog circuits
- Managing system records and coordinating with maintenance supply organizations for requisition, documentation, and turn-in of parts
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating/sustaining computers, LAN networks, RF system, radios, and datalinks
- Previously qualified to troubleshoot and maintain RC-135 mission systems or similar systems
- Education and years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and 2 years of prior related experience
- Or 8 years of prior related experience
- Able to work variable shifts
- Must be worldwide deployable with the ability to travel up to 25% of the time
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. up to 5% of the time
- Ability to climb ladders daily
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiarity with signal generators, spectrum analyzers and other advanced test equipment
- Qualified to maintain RC-135 mission systems within the last 2 years
