L3Harris in Bristol/Burgess Hill/Barrow provides warship automation systems through control and simulation solutions that are in service on Albion Class Landing Platform Docks and Queen Elizabeth Class Aircraft Carriers. More systems are being developed and delivered for Type 26 and Type 31 Frigates.

What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Responsible for defining and maintaining Change Management documentation (Plans, Processes, Procedures).
- Analysis of proposed product design changes (from internal and external sources) to determine the effect on the overall system and program.
- Establish and maintain baselines and baseline controls.
- Release of Project Deliverables.
- Plan and implement methods to improve response.
- Acts as liaison between management and other functional groups to resolve issues regarding Change/configuration analysis documentation.
- Documents and controls the baseline for the project
- Controls Risk associated with the project through: Identification; Documentation; Impact Analysis; Planning and Execution of Mitigations
- Facilitates Change through providing estimated effort and schedule impact, incorporating approved change into project schedule and technical baseline, coordinating the change process
- Conducting Lessons Learned evaluations to continually improve approaches and seek efficiencies.
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Professional with strong knowledge of job area (minimum of 5 years), and broad knowledge of project management
- Ability to assess Engineering project changes and co-ordinate the impact assessment on the project, engineering and project baselines etc.
- Complex problem solving involving the consideration of multiple issues, job areas or specialties
- Understanding of, and experience with various engineering lifecycles
- Experience working on defence contracts
- Excellent communication skills, motivation and tasking and organisational skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, Sharepoint, Jira
