Job Description:
The Specialist, Contracts will assist the Contracts Lead in support of L3Harris Range and Test Systems and the Navigation Systems Teams. Will assist in the management of large, complex contracts and initiatives of substantial importance to the organization. Utilizes working knowledge of regulations including the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements (e.g. DFARS) and other agency regulations.
Essential Functions:
- Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies and procedures
- Protects the interest of the company by understanding and interpreting contractual terms and conditions
- Provides business, contractual and risk mitigation strategy guidance
- Manages the contractual review of solicitations, proposal development, negotiation, contract change control process (contract modifications) and overall contract administration
- Establishes and maintains contractual interface with the customer
- Maximizes cash through innovative contract formation and negotiation to achieve business objectives
- Ability to travel – approximate 10% travel required, specific percentage of travel to be negotiated
- Ability to work extended hours when required
Qualifications:
- Experienced professional with proficient knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of Contracts function
- May manage projects or processes with moderate supervision
- Communicates with contacts inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures
- Recommends enhancements to systems and processes
- Knowledge of the FAR & DFARS
- Good communication skills
- Ability to interface with internal and external customers
- Ability to analyze terms and conditions
- Problem solving skills, willingness to learn, administrative and organization skills.
- Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Secret Clearance desired (or ability to receive a Secret Clearance). Clearance not required at time of hire.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $77,500.00 MIN - $144,500.00 MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
