Job Description:

The EHS Manager will oversee the organization’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This individual will lead efforts to manage, improve, and execute EHS policies, procedures, and programs across Anaheim and Gardena sites. The EHS Manager will also be responsible for implementing safety training, reporting, and ensuring the overall health and safety of employees.

Essential Functions:

• Manage and oversee the organization’s EHS infrastructure, ensuring effective and compliant safety practices.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve EHS policies, procedures, and best practices to maintain compliance and promote a safe working environment.
• Maintain environmental compliance across the 2 operating locations according to facility operating permits issued by regulatory agencies.
• Ensure facility-wide EHS standards are met and continuously updated in line with regulatory changes.
• Take managerial and administrative responsibility for cross-functional EHS operations, leading initiatives for safety, health, and environmental programs.
• Provide leadership in hazard communication, ensuring proper labeling, storage, handling, and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemicals and hazardous materials.
• Direct the identification, implementation, and training of EHS procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS laws and regulations, ensuring that company policies, procedures, objectives, and goals reflect compliance requirements.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related issues, establishing and maintaining safety programs, and ensuring proper record-keeping for safety training, OSHA 300 logs, and regulatory documentation.
• Monitor, report, and improve key EHS performance metrics, ensuring the organization's long-term commitment to safety and environmental sustainability.
• Lead and oversee internal and external EHS audits, inspections, and investigations.
• Collaborate with leadership and various departments to integrate EHS goals into overall company strategy.
• Actively promote a zero injury/zero risk culture across all employees and functions.
• Complete regulatory reporting as required by local, state, and federal requirements and interacts with regulators and key stakeholders.
• Support the site’s successful completion of both internal and external risk assessments, audits, and inspections.
• Lead the team in emergency conditions or drills and supports company emergency and contingency planning actions.
• Use problem solving skills and risk assessments during investigations into the root cause of injuries, events, or near misses.  Ensures appropriate actions are taken to correct and prevent recurrence of unsafe conditions and/or behaviors.
• Flexible to off-site or weekend activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, NFPA, IBC, and other applicable EHS regulations.
• Understanding of ISO 14064-1 and GHG emissions management.
• Experience developing, implementing, and tracking EHS programs across multiple locations.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide teams and stakeholders in safety practices.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in EHS-related issues.
• Dynamic and active communicator with strong collaboration skills.
• Able to systematically analyze risks and opportunities.
• This facility requires U.S. Citizenhip.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Experience with California State and regional EHS regulations.
• Subject matter expertise in electrical safety, air quality, storm water and DTSC hazardous waste, hazardous communication/chemical safety and emergency response.
• Experience in manufacturing and assembly settings.
• Experience leading employees or teams.
• Experience using EHS common reporting system platforms.
• Advanced degrees and professional certifications (i.e., CSP, CHMM)
