Job Description:
L3Harris is looking for an electrical assembler to performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic assemblies and subassemblies. The Electrical Assembler will also assist on the Deep Space Advanced Radar Concept (DARC) project started by the US Air Force in 2017 is a network of sensors, which is planned to be developed to track active satellites and debris beyond geostationary orbit. This includes program management, antenna & radar front end development, test, and supporting integration and system-level test activity requirements for Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability (DARC) Rapid Prototype (RP) as implemented by the Space and Missile Systems Center, Directorate of Special Programs, Ground Based Radars (SMC/SPGR) division. The scope of effort for this contract includes the design, procurement, manufacture, integration, and test of antenna systems/subsystems at our facility. This multi year contract will include future field installation and support internationally.
Essential Functions:
- Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts and uses hand and/or power tools.
- Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
- May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications under simulated conditions.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
- Experince with wiring chassis and/or cables.
- Experince with soldering and/or crimp pins for connectors and lugs.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of Teflon and PVC type wire and braided shielding.
- Ability to read blue print schematics and wire lists.
- IPC-610 and IPC-620 certification.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $50,000 - $70,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
