Job Description:

L3Harris is looking for a Sr. Procurement Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will plan and implement activities related to the procurement of materials, goods and services in compliance with regulatory requirements. The role will compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and/or services, and send Request for Quotes (RFQ) to obtain quotes, examine bids and make awards.

Essential Functions:

• Analyze and interpret engineering drawings/schematics to understand the procurement and manufacturing requirements.
• Source and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services and/or supplies necessary for operation of an organization.
• Ensure supplier compliance via an internet supplier portal (eXpo PO tracking) and responsible for item part data attribute accuracy.
• Compile and analyze statistical data to determine feasibility of buying products and to establish price objectives.
• Review proposals, negotiates prices, selects or recommends suppliers.
• Prepare proposal requests consistent with the requirements of the contract.
• Solicit and award purchase orders consistent with the requirements of the contract.
• Participate and contribute to departmental and company-wide process improvements and lean initiatives.
• Hybrid Work Location: You will need to live within commuting distance to our Rochester, NY location. Work from home schedule will be dictated by the manager and business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant procurement/buyer experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of Supply Chain principles, procurement processes and concepts.
• Knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
• Experience purchasing parts and/or services
• 3+ years’ experience in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MRP system
• Advanced Excel skills including use of pivot tables, lookup tables, etc.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Washington State and New York State is $70,000 - $130,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
