Aerojet Rocketdyne is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader providing propulsion and energetics to its space, missile defense, strategic, tactical missile and armaments customers throughout domestic and international markets. We offer a complete line of propulsion products for launch vehicles, missile defense, and advanced hypersonic propulsion.
We are seeking a Quality Technician C (Support) to join our facility in Culpeper, Virginia. In this role, you will provide technical/administrative support to the Quality function.
ESSENTIONAL FUNCTIONS
- Approves production records for conformance to procedures. Responsible for ensuring safety, reliability and hardware traceability for end-item systems and mission solutions through production quality oversight.
- Performs assignments requiring application of Industry Quality Configuration Operations practices and principles supporting multiple programs. Position requires extensive computer data input and requires the candidate to be proficient with computers.
- Reviews large quantities of technical documentation for both completion and accuracy, ensuring that performance and quality products conform to established company and regulatory standards.
Routinely interfaces with customer and government representatives.
Fully proficient support individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgment. Less detailed instructions are provided and minimal peer review is required.
Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement. May be a resource to other employees in area of proficiency.
Works to achieve operational targets within job area which has a high impact on the overall achievement of results for the team.
Expertise with process flows associated with manufacturing planning is desired.
Working knowledge of Quality Configuration Operations practices and principles also desired.
High Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Requires fully proficient job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
