Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking professionals to work in a dynamic classified environment to help us provide world class solutions in support of programs that are critical to our national defense. In this role candidates will design, develop, and support DevSecOp solutions in an AWS cloud-based environment intended for geospatial processing systems. Candidates will be a part of Agile development teams and support solutions developed by L3Harris’s Autonomous Intelligence Solutions (AIS) group. A combination of technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive mindset are crucial for success in this role.

  • Ability to interface with customers to understand use cases and define requirements, design a cloud based solution, support system level testing, and field the solution in the customers AWS GovCloud environment to support the mission
  • Ability to leverage existing domain experience hosting service based architecture and solutions in an AWS GovCloud environment
  • Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems orchestrated with Kubernetes
  • Understanding of how to scale and conduct performance tuning for AWS GovCloud solutions  

Qualifications: 

  • Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in leveraging AWS to host cloud based solutions involving: EC2, S3, Containers, Kubernetes, ELK, Robot Framework
  • Experience in designing and fielding a micro-service based container solutions in an AWS GovCloud environment
  • Experience with designing a scalable infrastructure and automated deployment in an AWS environment
  • Experience with leveraging tools to support pipelines and containers
  • 3+ years of experience using Python       

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with C++ development
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with SAFe Agile 
  • CompTia Network Sec+ certification
  • AWS Solutions Architect or AWS Developers Certification
  • Experience developing AWS API Gateways and endpoints
  • Knowledge of cloud security concepts and CMMC compliance
  • Experience with configuring serverless applications/code
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems like Ubuntu, Debian and Centos
  • Understanding of “Infrastructure as Code” tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Puppet or Ansible
  • Expertise in CI tools including Jenkins with end to end knowledge of Jenkins administration and configuration, including building Jenkins pipelines
  • Understanding of container technology using Docker
  • Understanding of logging and monitoring solutions using the ELK stack
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills are essential
  • Working knowledge of automated testing tools and strategies

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in  New York State/Florida is $93,500 - $173,500. For California and Herndon, VA, the salary range for this role is $107,500 - $199,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
