Job Description:

Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors products through the complete production cycle to meet delivery requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, coordinates with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain and interfaces with engineering and program management as well as external customers. Ensures availability of materials and labor to meet production requirements and delivery commitments. Works to resolve labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.

Essential Functions: 

  • Manage the work order process to include revision control, material availability, work order release, start and completion date maintenance, material allocation requests.
  • Analyze, plan, prepare, and control production schedules and coordinate with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements.
  • Proactively develop risk mitigation strategies for critical material, long lead and historical delivery/quality items.
  • Communicate with operations teams to convey and interpret operational goals.

  • Make basic adjustments to systems and processes to resolve obstacles.
  • Identify, define and address general challenges that are typically within the immediate work area.
  • Contribute to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.

Qualifications:

  • Require proficient knowledge of Planning typically obtained through education combined with experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
  • Must have basic knowledge and ability for interpretation of engineering documentation used in the fabrication and production of electromechanical products.
  • Must have an understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and experience with material requisitioning, purchasing, stocking, and inventory control.
  • Capable of generating moderately complex spreadsheets and reports utilizing: Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLookups).
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Kinaxis and MES/FLx Fusion software
  • APICS Certification
