Job Description:
- Work rotating shifts and alternate with co-worker on weekend and holiday standby in support of maintenance and operations on program aircraft. Inspect and maintain ground support equipment. Update, support, and implement changes and reviews of program Technical Publications, Service Bulletins, and Service Letters to program aircraft.
- Utilize engineering drawings and vendor manuals to resolve user concerns which are not covered in Technical Publications.
- Must have experience supporting secure communication devices, to include Desktop STEs, STE-Rs, KIV-7, and KY-100s.
- Should be familiar with and have the ability to utilize a wide range of test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, and in-line watt meters.
- Minimal travel up to 5%.
Job Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related
Technical Requirements:
- Highly skilled Avionics/Communications Technician with a high degree of tact and interpersonal communication skills.
- Five years of experience with avionics and communications systems.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products and possess basic networking skills.
- Will be capable of guiding lesser skilled individuals in troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance all mission systems.
- Must have the ability to evaluate maintenance and operational problems; then quickly and accurately resolve situations.
- Must also be familiar with troubleshooting techniques for a wide range of electronic communications components for both RF and digital systems in order to isolate and resolve faults.
- Must possess excellent customer presentation skills as well as exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for direct dealing with the customer, contractor partners, and sub-contractors.
- Must be available for on-call support 24/7.
Position requires an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance and the ability to maintain the said clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
