Job Description:
L3Harris is currently seeking a Specialist, Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.
Essential Functions:
- Design, implement, and integrate software with languages such as C and C++
- Ability to develop and analyze design tradeoffs against scope, cost, and schedule constraints.
- Support continuous improvement, process innovation, and lessons learned activities.
- Able to occasionally travel, up to 10%.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Experience with software development.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field
- Strong working knowledge of C/C++ and C#
- Experience with parallel processing using CUDA and/or OpenCL.
- Experience with software development targeting Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with one or more additional programming languages such as Java or Python
- Exposure to algorithms/processing related to navigation/time, MATLAB, or FPGA development/integration.
- Ability to travel in support of strategic initiatives, up to 10%.
- Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance
