About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically competent V&V Systems Engineer, to execute on-site test and integration acitvities. Our V&V Systems Engineer are be tasked with integrating, deploying and testing L3Harris subsystems and interface solutions.

Your remit will be as broad as it is challenging. Key responsibilities may include but not be limited to: mentoring junior system engineers; diagnose, fault-find and troubleshoot communication devices and systems to return it to an approved baselines; provide onsite assessment of platform infrastructure installation, interfaces and configuration to support system set to work handover; liaising with customers and OEMs and staff to develop requirements and assessment of constraints; test procedures and test reports; and assisting the business development team with technical proposals and costings.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;

  • Demonstrated experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Recent hardware test and integration experience of communications systems
  • Working knowledge of test equipment for systems diagnosis and fault-finding, including RF spectrum analyser, oscilloscopes, digital meters, volt/ohm meters, logic analysers, micro- computers and related utilities and microcomputer controlled test 
  • Experience with devices managed on Microsoft or Linux-based operating systems
