About your next challenge as a Software Developer, Software Engineering:
As a software developer within our Software group, you will collaborate in the development of various software tools intended for various platforms such as the CF-18, CT-114, CC-150, etc. In addition, you will participate in software development initiatives to increase efficiency as part of the Continuous Improvement Programs
To achieve this, you will be called upon to:
•Program desktop applications and web interfaces;
•Participate in software development cycle (design, development, maintenance, etc.);
•Collaborate with customers, partners or members of the project team for the implementation of solutions.
•Write technical and functional specifications.
What you will do:
•Accompany and guide the client in the analysis and definition of needs, in the orientation, as well as in the choice and evaluation of appropriate technological solutions;
•Develop, implement and apply conceptual and logical models, as well as design, implement and integrate strategies (including requirements and architecture documents);
•Contribute to all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC);
•Ensure that the solutions developed meet project criteria and market best practices;
•Participate in the implementation/programming of solutions;
•Ensure that the division of iteration tasks, carried out by the team, is adequate and effective;
•Ensure the quality of the code produced, the follow-up, and the respect of good programming practices;
•Review codes and a complete diagnosis of the development process to propose strategies to improve the process
•Participate in peer reviews of colleagues
•Help onboarding and guidance effort for new/existing employees;
•Technical Oversight on software products roadmaps and technical solutions;
Required Skills and Experience:
•Hold a university/college degree in computer science or equivalent experience; and
•Have 3 years or more of programming experience, including at least 2 years in both .NET and Javascript development
•In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, etc.);
•Knowledge of one or more of the following technologies: ASP.Net (Web API), .NET Framework, .NET Core, Entity Framework, Blazor;
•Knowledge of Azure DevOps or any other code management system, including continuous development pipelines and integration;
•Knowledge of the software development cycle; and
•Knowledge of aerospace domain; and
•Knowledge of the code review process (pull-request) and GIT/Azure Devops
•Excellent ability to write technical documents
•Knowledge of XSLT programming (stylesheets)
•Knowledge of S1000D 2.0 & 4.0 specifications
•Experience working/developing on a online IETM/IETP software solution
Eligibility Criteria ( Mandatory)
Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Government of Canada “Reliability” status and Level 2 (Secret) Security clearance
Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
