L3Harris’ Communication Systems segment is currently seeking a Specialist, RF/Wireless Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Carlsbad, CA facility.

Essential Responsibilities:
- In this role you will be responsible for RF design and Integration both new and existing Transceivers within the Tactical Data Link (TDL) radio designs. Using RF analysis tools and techniques, you will use your proven knowledge of RF and Mixed Signal designs to provide a new level of capability within L3Harris products. Working alongside Systems and Digital Hardware Engineers, you will take advanced designs to new levels to bring the next generation of L3Harris TDL products to life!
- An active Secret clearance is required for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years RF, analog and mixed signal hardware experience
- Experience using various lab equipment including Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, RF Probe, Power Meter, Network Analyzer, Logic Analyzer
- Experience in creating test scripts for validating designs
- Demonstrated proficiency in Schematic Design Capture and PCB Layout
- Knowledgeable in RF system design, communications, and computer architecture
- Experience with System Integration and RF Parameter Testing
- Ability to independently analyze, test, and debug RF, Digital and Mixed Signal design
- Experience with circuit design and simulation tools such as DxDesigner, Expedition, ADS, SPICE, HFSS, Hyperlyn
- Test scripting and automation experience using python, LabVIEW or similar
- Experience working with low level test software and firmware for controlling a unit under test
- Experience creating Matlab script
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $83,500 - $155,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
