The Opportunity
L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems Australia is currently seeking 2 experienced Senior Systems Engineer to assist with the planning and execution of system engineering activities within a current complex engineering project aiming to deliver and support new capability for the next 3+ years within current complex engineering projects in robotics and electronic warfare.
Responsibilities include:
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the timely and professional delivery of project outcomes.
- Development of product and system architectures including both hardware and software capabilities
- Requirements management for all projects, including capture and decomposition of requirements
- Plan and participate in formal and informal system modelling
- Ensure program compliance with technical, quality and safety requirements
- Plan, prepare and participate in effective testing and V&V programs
- Lead and participate in the generation of formal bids and quotations
- Communicate effectively with customers and present design details during internal and customer reviews
- Review project schedules and meet financial and time constraints
- Plan and participate in internal company processes e.g. non-conformance reports, failure reports, etc.
What you’ll bring:
- Degree in electronic/electrical engineering or similar discipline. Post-graduate qualifications in Systems Engineering desirable.
- Extensive experience in a System Engineering role
- Demonstrated experience across the system engineering life cycle
- Experience with requirements management tools desirable
- Experience with systems architecture tools desirable
- Knowledge of systems architecture frameworks such as DoDAF and standards such as MOSA/SOSA
- Knowledge of model based systems engineering desirable
- Experience in the planning and conduct of customer technical reviews
- Registered as RPEQ, or eligible to apply and obtain RPEQ registration
- Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent computer and communication skills
