Job Description:
Join the dynamic Space and Airborne Systems Segment as a Program Finance Analyst and become an integral part of our mission! The Program Finance Analyst role is an individual contributor that is embedded with specific program teams to control all aspects of the program’s finance. The analyst will prepare quarterly, monthly, and weekly financial reports, both internal and external as required, validate actual cost reporting, support monthly closing activities, support the establishment and maintenance of project baselines and forecasts, and be responsible for project setup and maintenance with the financial systems. This position will be responsible for partnering with program management to inform and analyze key financial metrics such as Orders, Sales, Profit and Cash.
Essential Functions:
- Manage external customer and internal reporting
- Earned Value Management implementation
- Responsible for orders, sales, profit, cash flow forecasting and analysis
- Cost proposal development
- Invoicing coordination, tracking, and collection
- Interface with Program Management and other functions, complying with their procedures and ensuring compliance with Finance procedure
- Provide clear, actionable information to Program Managers and other stakeholders for improving the program’s financial standing
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, or other analytical field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Strong aptitude in Microsoft Excel (to include lookups, pivot tables, and general best practices)
- Experience in financial management tools
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in government contract finance
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork/interpersonal skills
- Organized and driven to continuously improve
