Job Description
We are seeking to fill an Intern – Project & Component Engineering role for Summer 2025 at our West Palm Beach, FL location. Summer internships will start in approximately May/June and end in August/September. Our West Palm Beach, FL facility is home to the family of RL10 Upper-Stage Rocket Engines that have propelled missions to every planet in the solar system! This site is also the Hypersonics center of excellence which built the scramjet engine that powered the record-setting X-51A Waverider.
- After orientation and training, intern will perform entry-level engineering tasks on rocket propulsion projects.
- Intern will support senior engineering staff and gain experience and familiarization with company projects.
- Intern must be able to operate effectively in a team environment.
- Summer internship will start in approximately May/June and end in August/September.
- Projects may focus on aspects of project or component engineering including assisting in the design and development of rocket propulsion hardware and providing technical support to engineers within such areas as systems interconnects or combustion devices.
- With the guidance and mentorship of senior engineering staff, lead assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Mechanical engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
Preferred Skills
- 3.2 GPA or above
- Solid academic track record of accomplishment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Software applications
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with the ability to work with little direction
- Leadership & teamwork skills
