Job Description:
Provide leadership to the IMS Segment Contracts organization in areas of operations, training, and policy. Position will focus tactically on putting in place strategic process improvements to drive greater discipline in proposal reviews and generation, change management, and linkage between contracts, subcontracts, and estimating/pricing. Additionally, this role will support the development of a Segment Contract Operations group to improve backend business activities such as award and modification entry.
Essential Functions:
- Proactive, engaged and influential member of the Contracts Leadership Team.
- Gather and manage a more metrics driven organization.
- Drive necessary changes to contracts Policy for IMS
- Support Contract mod restructuring for Cash collection
- Tracking and driving down of REAs
- Estimating experience to help partner and drive alignment between contracts and estimating/pricing
- Provide direction and guidance in establishing consistent training objectives to enhance employee competencies and skills for a best-in-class contracts organization.
- Develop strong, ongoing relationships with internal/external customers
- Provide strategic support regarding disputes (e.g., Claims/REAs).
- Works closely with government stakeholders and corporate representatives for Legal, Contracts, Export, Import, Customs/Traffic, Intellectual Property and Anti-Bribery Compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related fieldand a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- 10+ years of experience with leadership in contracts management and proposal development, including overseeing large, complex proposals and negotiations.
- Demonstrated subject matter expertise in Government contracting
- Demonstrated strong business acumen.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and the FAR, DFAR, ITAR and other government procurement regulations.
- This position will require the individual to be a U.S. citizen and have the ability to obtain a security clearance.
