Job Description:
The Director, People Operations will be responsible for leading the HR Shared Services team with a mission to deliver high-quality HR services to the L3Harris enterprise. As the leader of this new organization, the Director will be responsible overseeing the development, implementation, and effectiveness of centralized employee and manager facing HR processes globally. There will be a strong focus on maintaining world-class service levels, continually improving our processes, and expanding the service catalog as business needs and people strategies evolve.
The Director of People Operations is a hands-on leader focused on driving HR effectiveness and operational efficiencies across the organization. He/she will provide strategic leadership and operational management for the team as they deliver HR services to our employees and managers. The successful candidate will be accountable for the successful adaptation and implementation of global HR policies and must have strong systems and HR analytics capabilities, as well as skill in both process and project management.
Essential Functions:
- Lead the People Operations organization in collaboration with the HR Systems, HR Service Excellence, and business area HR teams
- Develop and implement strategies to improve HR service delivery, drive continuous improvement in HR processes, leveraging technology and other resources to streamline HR service delivery and improve the employee and manager experience
- Manage a team of HR professionals responsible for providing HR services to employees and managers across the enterprise
- Ensure that HR processes and procedures are efficient, effective, and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements
- Drive change management initiatives to ensure the successful implementation of new HR processes and operating models
- Develop service level agreements and implement performance metrics to track effectiveness
- Collaborate with IT and HRIS teams to ensure that HR systems are optimized for efficient service delivery
- Monitor and stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in HR Shared Services and incorporate them into the Shared Services strategy and practices
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in HR management, with a strong track record of success in HR Operations and a deep understanding of HR policies, procedures, and HR technology
- Experience working with the ServiceNow and SAP suite of offerings
- Demonstrated success in establishing and streamlining processes, driving change and continuous improvement
- Prior experience navigating and thriving in complex matrix structures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills that support your ability to effectively influence across the organization
- Proven ability to collaborate and partner for the achievement of short and long-term shared goals

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Washington State and New York State is $120,500 - $224,500. For California, Seattle and New York City, the salary range for this role is $138,500 - $257,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
