Job Description:
L3Harris Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) sector has an availability for a Regional Sales Manager to join the team. This position will provide sales, account management, and revenue management oversight for our Northeast Public Safety Land Mobile Radio (LMR) market. The successful candidate will build and execute a business strategy to capture complex pursuits as well as growing existing business throughout the market while overseeing our team of experienced Account Managers.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans for department/unit to ensure availability of human capital necessary to accomplish departmental business results
- Responsible for employment actions within own organization (hiring, promotion, and compensation authority, in accordance with senior management review and approval)
- Communicates with parties within and outside of the organization, which includes major customers or vendors
- Works to influence others to accept team's views or practices and agree/accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
- Responsible for establishing the direction for new processes, systems, solutions, and products using significant conceptualization, reasoning, and interpretation
- Owns and develops tactical and operational plans and goals for a business area or function, which may include oversight for multiple departments
- Recommends and operationalizes strategies that have a direct impact on the mid- to long-term function/area achievements
- Recommends and implements new products, processes, policies, standards or operating plans in support of job function strategy
- Typically has budget or Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability for the department
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 12 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 10 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Land Mobile Radio (LMR) experience preferred
- Advanced business knowledge, general management and leadership capability to lead business area or functional teams
- Broad experience across multiple related professional disciplines within the organization, combining theory, past practical experience and the organization’s business practices
- Requires ability to influence senior leadership regarding matters of strategic importance to the function or organization
- Work requires a high degree of responsibility for resources, and frequently influences business decisions made by leadership
- Experience managing large complex deals with protracted procurement processes consisting of multiple decision makers, multiple competitors, and requiring multiple levels of approval
- Experience managing the dealer experience, from both a sales and service delivery perspective
- Experience leading a sales team responsible for capturing complex pursuits and growing existing business
- Experience building a team and advancing talent within the organization
- Experience building a business strategy and converting it into an executable plan
- Experience executing consistent, proven account, territory and region growth
- Experience managing a P&L a plus

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $136,000 - $253,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $146,000 - $271,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
