Job Description:
This person will engage in a high degree of collaboration and communication with engineering, program managers, finance, manufacturing, quality assurance, and other supply chain departments. This person will work with key internal stakeholders to understand their sourcing and procurement needs. This role will report to the Supply Chain Manager and is responsible for full spectrum of buying and procurement lifecycle management including MRP analysis, PO placement and supply reporting for multiple programs. Make sure all procurements meet and are in compliance with corporate and L3Harris policies and procedures. This person willl be responsible for recording and tracking assets purchased for Government Contracts.
Essential Functions:
- Review Statements of Work, Proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends and maintains necessary records.
- Negotiate costs and lead times.
- Locate hard to find parts/Assist with PO placement.
- Responsible for Performance relating to quality, cost, and schedule for Purchase Orders.
- Manage Subcontracts placed with Suppliers (Internal and external).
- Effectively interact with other functional groups, Quality, Operations, Engineering, Production, Finance.
- Assisting less experienced buyers with resolving problems.
- Executing and supporting, where required, negotiations of purchase orders.
- Recording, tracking and maintaining Government contract purchased assets.
- Perform audits IAW FAR/DFAR 52.245-1.
- Excellent communication and Negotiating skills.
- Effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- 6+ months experience working with an ERP (SAP preferred).
- 6+ months experience in inventory and/or asset management experience.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with FAR/DFAR, including the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) strongly desired.
- Experience in US government contract / subcontract experience
- Prior government procurement experience
- Strong proficiency in SAP is highly preferred.
