Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sr. Systems Engineering Integration & Test (I&T) Engineering to join our L3Harris team. As a core member of the Systems Engineering team, you will be responsible for aspects of the systems integration and test processes, procedures, and execution. This will involve being tightly integrated with the software development team to construct a “release on demand” paradigm. Integration and test may include SIL tests, ground testing, and flight testing. A background in software testing or software development, or experience developing automated tests, scripting and test planning is desired. Experience within aerospace, ISR, image processing, or EO/IR contexts is a plus.
- Lead and execute all facets of the systems integration and test processes, ensuring adherence to best practices and company protocols.
- Responsible for the coordination of technical input across multi-disciplinary engineering teams for system level detailed test plan development.
- Connects software test tools with MBSE modeling tools to verify or automate test results as part of a CICD pipline and DevOps process (e.g., work from Cameo to Cucumber to a verified test result).
- Establish design-for-test guidelines to streamline testing process.
- Collaborate closely with the software development team to establish and maintain a "release on demand" workflow for system-level verification, enhancing our ability to respond to customer needs with agility and precision.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans, including System Integration Lab (SIL) tests, ground testing, and flight testing, to validate system functionality and performance.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites and scripts to streamline the testing process and increase efficiency.
- Analyze test results, identify issues, and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on existing integration and test strategies and proposing innovative solutions.
- Applies System Engineering Integration & Test methods, standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques to complex electro optical payloads
- Leads Test Readiness Reviews (TRR) and participates in other design reviews (e.g., SRR, PDR, CDR) and provided technical guidance and expertise to ensure the successful completion of projects.
- Works to meet schedule constraints imposed by internal or external stakeholders as required, utilizing project management skills.
- Creates professional, data-driven presentations for briefing technical decisions or recommendations both to internal stakeholders and external vendors/customers.
Job Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or similar degree path preferred.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
- Experience as a Systems Engineer.
- Background in Test Engineering, Software Testing, or experience working within a mature SEIT team.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplined integrated product team (IPT).
- Applicant must have a willingness to relocate to the Tulsa, OK area.
- Applicant must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance.
- The essential physical requirements of the position will be reviewed with the applicant during the interview.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Troubleshooting skills at both a system and module level, to include potential for software, mechanical, and electrical or electronics faults.
- Experience in a SecDevOps Agile / Scrum environment and active involvement in the CI/CD Pipeline or release train.
- Awareness of Cybersecurity concepts, such as SAST, Static Code Analysis, Dynamic Code Analysis, CVE, CWE, and associated tools Coverity, Black Duck, etc.
- Proficiency in test architecting and execution software (e.g., NI LabVIEW, TestStand).
- Background in developing systems tests and verification plans within an MBSE approach, with experience modeling using Cameo, MagicDraw, or similar SysML development tool.
- Proficiency in hardware/software integration, with the ability to collaborate with hardware engineers and software developers to ensure seamless integration of subsystems and components.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, scripting languages, data-loggers, or advanced excel data analyses. Linux experience a plus.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as DO-178, DO-254, MIL-STD-810, etc.
- Environmental Testing / Qualification (ESS) experience.
- Experience working under an AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Management System.
