L3Harris in Tewkesbury and Fleet form part of our ICI division. In the land domain, our T7 and T4 multi-mission robots deliver next-generation remote capabilities and uncompromised performance. We design and manufacture world-leading land force protection systems, cyber and electromagnetic activities (CEMA), electronic warfare (EW) and encryption capabilities. What the role will involve
The responsibilities of your role will include the following:
- Ensure that projects and programs adhere with established controls and processes
- Maintain and update project performance analyses to ensure understanding of project financials within the Project Management community
- Ensure a consistent methodology is applied across all programs in relation to contingency, risk and their connection to milestones
- Support relevant bids to assist in preparing financial analysis and applying financial acumen
- Work with finance team to ensure correct billing and application of transactions to relevant projects and programs
- Provide support to periodic external and internal audits, from project overview to financial reports and reconciliations
- Adhere to all financial reporting requests and deadlines in respect of the transactions and reporting driven from projects
What you’ll bring
The role requires the following experience and skills:
- Qualified or Part Qualified Accountant with recognised accountancy qualification
- Preference for 5 years’ experience in industry (Defence experience preferred)
- Strong co-ordination skills and communication skills
- Confident when interacting with employees at all levels
- Prior experience of integrated ERP systems handling engineering / manufacturing transactions
- Experience of program and project management and project accounting techniques and disciplines
- Financial modelling skills to support bid construction and other investment analysis
- Ability to work independently, set priorities and see exercises through to completion
- Excellent interpersonal skills to achieve effective partnerships and relationships in a multi-discipline environment
- Displays a high level of respect, diplomacy and tact when dealing with stakeholders
- Resilient, highly flexible and a naturally inquisitive individual
