Job Description:

The Associate, Material Management is an entry-level professional responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of materials from receiving or the warehouse to production. This role requires a broad theoretical job knowledge and works under general direction within standard processes to manage raw material requirements and scheduling based on engineering specifications and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams.
  • Develop and manage raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules.
  • Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to ensure efficient material flow.
  • Negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.
  • Comply with laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for export/import control certifications and licenses.

Qualifications:

  • Requires broad theoretical job knowledge. Bachelor’s Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Understanding of supply chain and inventory control principles and best practices.
  • Ability to coordinate and manage raw material requirements and scheduling from engineering specifications and production schedules.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
