Job Description:
The Driver Training Curriculum Specialist will work onsite in a fast paced, dynamic environment reporting to the Sr. Manager of Engineering and Product Management to execute our curriculum design and creation effectively and efficiently. Our products and services improve the safety of companies and people around the world and must be of the highest quality. The ideal Curriculum Specialist has a strong background in creating professional curriculum with high quality. We seek a quick learner who can work independently with little supervision. It is essential that this specialist be professional and is approachable.
Essential Functions:
- Meet with Engineering and Design, Sales and Training teams to gather and understand simulation curriculum requirements. Participate in prototype reviews, seek out clarifications, reference logic and flow documents, maintain project tracking updates as needed.
- Researches and captures source material for use in building curriculum from scratch or modifying existing models.
- Creates challenging, goal-oriented curriculum, presentation material, and skill-practice scenarios
- Troubleshoots, identifies, reports, and\or corrects problems with material.
- Provides technical support for product development team
- Assists engineering department with daily tasks, including preparation of simulators for product demos, assisting with demos, inventory and any other tasks assigned.
- Maintains Corporate issued assets and conduct routine inventory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.
- Demonstrable experience in creation of professional instructional curriculum and presentation material.
- Experience in modern material presentation media including PowerPoint and video creation
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Specific experience in commercial driver training
- Specific experience in law enforcement training
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with little-to-no supervision, and working in a small team
- Proficient in MS Office products.
- Strong communication skills.
- Maintain professional working relationships, attitude and dress attire.
- Must be willing and able to pass routine drug screening and background investigations.
