L3Harris is actively seeking a distinguished Chief Electronic Warfare (EW) Architect and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our dynamic team. With over 15 years of dedicated experience in EW system design and development, the ideal candidate will possess a robust background in both Electronic Support (ES) and Electronic Attack (EA). As the Chief Architect/SME, you will play a pivotal leadership role, guiding multiple EW design teams based in Salt Lake City, UT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic development and review of EW design artifacts.
- Conduct comprehensive training for personnel to ensure high levels of competency and performance.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and maintain strong relationships.
- Provide critical support for Business Development (BD) initiatives.
- Oversee the execution and progress of DoD programs related to EW, as well as spearhead internal research projects.
Technical Expertise Required:
- Proven track record of leading diverse technical teams.
- In-depth knowledge of EW systems architecture and analytical methods.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing Electronic Attack Systems and architectures.
- Advanced understanding of Electronic Support architecture and design principles.
- Expertise in signal detection, identification, and advanced signal processing techniques.
- Experience with non-linear signal processing and arbitrary waveform generation.
- Skilled in technique design, development, and digital signal processing.
- Familiarity with RF design and EW test environment simulation.
- Strong algorithm development skills, including simulation and documentation.
- Proficiency in MATLAB
- Adept at requirements analysis and management.
- Demonstrated ability to support proposal writing and BD activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related engineering experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
- BSEE with 14+ years of experience, MSEE with 12+ years of experience, or PhD with 10+ years of experience.
- Knowledge of ELINT, COMINT, and RADAR signal processing.
- Understanding of communications systems architecture, with an emphasis on the physical layer.
- Active security clearance.
- Experience with Machine Learning applications.
- Proficiency in working with Software Defined Radios.
- Experience working with FPGA design.
- Familiarity with programming languages such as C/C++/C# and tools like Simulink.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $155,500 - $288,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
