Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking an Associate Manager of Inventory Management to join our team. This team member is responsible for, controlling and managing activities related to inventory control within the shipping, order fulfillment, and configuration teams. They will establishe and modifie operational methods and procedures/training material, troubleshoot and rectify discrepancies, and assist Supply Chain and Business Planning with system flow to ensure consistencies in understanding and look for process improvements to that end.
Essential Functions:
Provide day-to-day work direction for direct report(s), focuses on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving operational decisions
Provides input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions for direct report(s). Reports directly to a manager or higher
Communicates with parties inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures of the area of responsibility
Adjusts procedures and processes. Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with some impact on department results
Understands supervisory approaches and has practical knowledge of Operations (Shipping / Order Fulfillment / Configuration)
Adjusts procedures and processes to solve problems
Identifies, defines, and addresses general problems that are typically within the immediate job area or team
Assigns tasks to a team to achieve operational targets, service standards, etc
May manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overtime for staff)
Position is 100% onsite
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree with 6 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 4 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience
Preferred Additional Skills:
CPIM / CLTD Certification through APICS or equivalent
Experience in operations management or a related field
Understanding of development strategies
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements
Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, tactics, and employees within a team
Knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $64,500-$120,500 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
