Job Description:
The Senior Specialist, Program Management function is responsible for managing follow on production programs and/or new development programs. As such, this program management role provides direction to the Integrated Program Teams (IPT) for the company. This role is also responsible for accomplishing program objectives by supporting the planning and assisting with the evaluation of program activities such as schedule review, production hardware tracking, program financial performance, and leading weekly IPT meetings. This role will require interactions with all core team members including engineering, quality, supply chain management, operations, program finance, and contracts. The Specialist Program Management function is responsible for program budgets, cost reporting, coordination of resources, and customer interface under minimal supervision. In summary, this position is also expected to take a lead role in the execution of specific programs as defined by their manager.
Essential Functions:
- Directs all phases of programs assigned from inception through completion.
- Drives program execution to achieve key business and financial objectives for orders, revenue recognition, operating income, and free cash flow for new, continuing, or current programs.
- Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.
- Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, performance Statement of Work (SOW) and specifications, operating budgets, and financial terms/conditions of contract.
- Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
- Expands the product line with the customer. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems, and identifies and implements solutions, such as allocating resources or changing contractual specifications.
- Directs the work of employees assigned to the program from technical, manufacturing, and administrative areas.
- Proven project/program management performance with DOD or USN customer
- Microsoft Office – Proficiency

- Demonstrates aptitude in the following areas.
- Program Cost management, EVMS experience preferred.
- General knowledge of FAR/DFAR requirements
- Government DPAS rated contracts.
- Project management, production projects
- Program Scheduling
- Able to obtain and maintain a DoD Clearance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires strong knowledge of job area typically obtained through a combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree with six (6) years of strong directly relevant sustainment experience with a DoD or USN customer.
- Graduate Degree with four (4) years of strong directly relevant sustainment experience with a DoD or USN customer.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience and/or strong directly relevant sustainment experience of proven performance with DOD or USN customer.
- Must be a US Citizen.
