Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a program Manager for the Assured Mission Networks (AMN) business unit to lead multi-functional teams in program execution, financial management, Risk & Opportunity management, proposal and production execution for Enterprise Capabilities programs. This opportunity is for the person who has the unique blend of project management, financial management and human resource management paired with the innate ability of an effective team leader. This role will report directly to the Director of Program Management, AMN Business Unit and is responsible for successfully communicating to support successful execution and business growth. This effort includes regular presentations, EACs, and status updates to AMN leadership.
Relocation to the Melbourne, FL area is a must. Relocation reimbursement will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Essential Functions:
- Drive development, test and build of the IPT sub-system by leading the IPT team comprised of Government, Associate Contractors, Strategic Partners, and Suppliers
- Coordinate with customer and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and solutions and provide issue resolution across the program lifecycle, including proposal, production, and support
- Effectively manage program risks and opportunities
- Responsible for cost and schedule performance, planning and forecasting
- Optimize cost, schedule and deliveries using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methodology and tools
- Lead an IPT team with Engineering, Operations, Purchasing/Subcontracts Management, Finance, Contracts and Quality to support on time delivery
- Identify continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities
- Lead proposal preparation, including technical description, statement of work, and cost/schedule estimation for both sole-source and competitive proposals
- Provide concise reports to management on status, potential issues, risks, and solution recommendations
- Provide guidance, coaching and training to other employees across the Company within area of expertise
- Strong organization and planning skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Active Secret, or higher, US Security clearance, or confident you can obtain a clearance
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Management of Government Property as either DoD Contractor or Government employee
- Minimum of 7 years professional experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, Macros) and PowerPoint Presentations
- Experience working as a program manager on government DoD contracts including FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations)
- Experience with Earned value and EVMS.
- Experience managing internal and external customer relationships.
- Experience leading a large cross functional team.
- Past engineering experience is helpful.
- Heavy emphasis on very good communication skills, both written and oral
