Job Description:

This is a ground-floor opportunity for a Senior Specialist Quality Engineering position in support of a new advanced packaging and back-end-of-line (BEOL) wafer fabrication effort at our Palm Bay, FL location.  The successful candidate will be the responsible authority for all aspects of Quality Assurance for the Microelectronics Division.  As the business grows, so will the span of responsibility and scope of this position, potentially including the establishment and development of a larger Quality Assurance team.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve quality plans for all production phases across all product lines
  • Collect, analyze and report quality performance metrics
  • Perform statistical process control analyses and improve product quality
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure world-class quality standards are achieved and maintained
  • Lead the timely execution, analysis and closeout of Non-Conformance Reports
  • Coach and develop junior team members on quality assurance processes and procedures
  • Stay current on corporate, regulatory and industry standards regarding quality and ensure compliance
  • Work with Supplier Quality and Supply Chain to develop and align Tier 1 supply base
  • Perform quality audits at key semiconductor foundry partner(s)
  • Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering or related STEM field
  • Prior semiconductor, advanced packaging, or microelectronics experience
  • A minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 4 years with a graduate degree or 10+ years or prior related experience with no degree
  • Security Clearance required upon hire:   Ability to Obtain
  • Security Clearance required for role:  Top Secret / SCI w/Poly

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • ASQ certification in one or more of the following:
    • Quality Engineer
    • Process Quality Process Analyst
    • Reliability Engineer
  • Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills
