Job Description:
L3Harris is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality Engineering team as an intern. The Quality Engineering Intern will assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance standards, processes, and controls. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a high-tech environment while contributing to the maintenance of product excellence and compliance with industry standards.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in the analysis of quality performance data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvements.
- Support the Quality Engineering team in the creation and revision of quality documentation, such as control plans, work instructions, and inspection procedures.
- Participate in internal audits and process walkthroughs to ensure compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality-related issues and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
- Help maintain the calibration and preventive maintenance schedules for inspection tools and equipment.
- Engage in continuous education and training on quality assurance methodologies and tools.
- Contribute to the preparation of reports and presentations summarizing quality metrics and project status for management review.
Qualifications:
- Currently Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Quality/Manufacturing field
- Security Clearance required upon hire: Ability to Obtain

Preferred Additional Skills:
- Basic understanding of quality assurance principles, statistical analysis, and continuous improvement techniques.
- Experience or school-based projects in electrical or electro-mechanical Manufacturing environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $22.00MIN - $40.50MAX. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including relocation stipend, 401(k), EAP, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
