Job Description:
L3 Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Accounts Receivable Credit and Collections and Billing Associate Manager who will support accounts receivable activities associated for both our Public Safety and Professional Communications (PSPC) as well as Integrated Vision Systems (IVS) business groups.
The role will report to our L3H Communications Segment level Senior Accounting Director. We are looking for a candidate with pre-existing accounts receivable and supervisory experience with a strong accounting background. This is a wonderful opportunity to join an existing Accounts Receivable and Billing team in an organization focused on driving timely cash collections and forecasting accuracy.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for managing Orders to Cash for both domestic and international collections and billings activities for two business groups.
- Coordinator of weekly cash meetings to ensure both timely collections and billing activities as well as providing weekly/monthly/quarterly cash forecasts to actuals and variance analysis.
- Will work closely with Program Managers, Program Financial Analysts, Sales Managers, Contract Managers, and Bid & Proposal team to identify cash receipt opportunities through regularly scheduled meetings and individual discussions
- Objective to maximize cash collections efforts by ensuring timely billing, customer receipt of invoices, and customer payment confirmation dates for all categories of business transactions (ie Indirect, Direct, Programs, and After-Market)
- Manage allowance for Doubtful Accounts Allowance calculations and any necessary Accounts Receivable Credit reclass entry requirements
- Manage Customer Credit limits and work with L3H Customer Care and Customer Integration Center relative to credit holds, etc
- Support both internal and external audit requirements
- Limited travel required and no security clearance required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 6 years prior banking, treasury and/or credit management experience, Graduate Degree with 4 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- CPA
- Supervisory experience
- Strong Excel skills (Pivot Tables, etc) and data management & tools (Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, etc) knowledge preferred
- Knowledge of Peoplesoft, SAP, Cost Point ERP systems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
