Job Description:
L3Harris Integrated Vision Solutions sector is looking for a continuous improvement professional to identify, improve, and implement strategic program initiatives and processes in technical, engineering, and manufacturing areas.The successful candidate will coordinate across departments to drive operational excellence and a culture for continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Manage projects related to strategic initiatives to drive productivity improvements and efficiencies in technical / programs functional areas.
- Works with and lead cross-functional teams to gain cooperation, drive solutions and operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results.
- Perform process optimizations, time studies, capacity analyses, and facility layouts.
- Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training other employees in continuous improvement methodologies.
- Recommend and make enhancements or improvements to systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of job area
- Opportunities for problem solving and innovation require comprehensive information gathering, analysis and investigation to understand the problem.
- Responsible for creating project debriefs and reporting success with the senior leadership team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 years prior experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 4 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience
- 2+ years of experience in applying Lean and Six Sigma tools
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Green Belt Lean Six Sigma Certification desired
- PMP/PMI Certification or equivalent is a plus
- Leadership, Change Management, and Facilitation experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel; Power Point; Word; Visio, SharePoint
- Proficient with Minitab statistics package
