Job Description:
As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris is looking for a candidate to develop and maintain space command and control (C2) systems. L3Harris is seeking professionals to work in a dynamic environment to solve challenging technical problems. Individuals will perform C2 system software development, design, implementation, test, and configuration management. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle. This position is located Vandenberg SFB, CA and requires a TS/SCI Security Clearance to start.
Essential Functions:
- Perform software/script development for C2 MOSSAIC Engineering Team.
- Experience developing with Java and Python programming languages and bash scripting language.
- Experience with git and source code repositories such as GitLab, etc.
- Working knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Collect system metrics and data for C2 systems including CAVENet, NDPP, SMP, CFE, CODA, etc.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 4-6 yers experience in Software or Master's and 2-4 years software experience. In lieu of degree 8-10 years of experience.
- At least 2-4 years of experience in software development.
- Experience with the Java and Python programming language and bash scripting language.
- Active Secret or Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.
- Experience in full software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to deployment.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Familiar with agile development and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Understanding of C# and C++.
- Understanding of NiFi and how to configure NiFi flows.
- Understanding of Kafka and how to configure Kafka topics.
- Understanding of SDA and C2 OperationsAbility to work in a team environment to potentially include duties in other technical disciplines.
- Thorough understanding of software engineering principles and industry best practices, including Agile development.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $90,000 - $167,000 This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
