Senior Software Engineer

About the opportunity:
If you’re ready to take the next step in your career in software engineering, we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team supporting the full software lifecycle from developing requirements through to formal testing across our Battlespace Communications Systems.
As the perfect individual for the role your enthusiasm for product design and development is only equaled by your drive to share and celebrate achievements as a team.
Responsibilities of the role include the following:
- Developing and maintaining Software components within an Agile, Systems Engineering-based environment
- Lead key feature developments as part of a development team, coordinating across locations
- Consulting and advising on component-level architectural direction, applying technical mentorship and coaching to deliver Product vision
- Document design and function and participate in Product demonstrations
- Improve system performance through analysis, review & defect fixing
Skills and Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in a similar role
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent qualification
- Proven skills in:
- Frontend development in React, Javascript, HTML (essential)
- Backend development in C#(.NET), Java (preferable)
- Technical leadership and Agile project execution
- Web-based full stack and client/server development
- Experience in secure coding practices (e.g. OWASP)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with team members and management
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (AGSVA) NV1
