L3Harris in Farnborough are the proud designer, supplier and maintainer of the 50,000 tactical radios in the Bowman tactical C4I system in service with the UK Armed Forces and are working to define and deliver the next generation system, Morpheus.
Position Overview:
We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic graduates to join our Graduate Rotational Program within L3Harris, a leading organization in the defence industry. This comprehensive, structured program offers exposure to multiple disciplines—including finance, operations, sales, program management, and contracts—to develop a broad skillset and gain an understanding of the business's strategic and operational functions.
Over the course of the program, participants will complete quarterly rotations in various departments, work on impactful projects, and deliver presentations summarizing their learnings, achievements, and contributions at the end of each rotation. This role is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a passion for the defence industry, business acumen, and leadership potential to develop into future leaders within our organization.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As part of your rotational program, you will be exposed to a range of business areas, please see below as to some of the responsibilities you will be involved in.
3 months in Finance:
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and assist with reporting on financial performance.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and defense industry regulations
3 Months in Operations:
- Analyze and improve supply chain processes, logistics, and production workflows.
- Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to meet operational goals.
3 Months in Sales:
- Contribute to the preparation of proposals and presentations for clients.
- Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales teams to support customer relationship management.
3 months in Program Management:
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing program deliverables.
- Monitor project milestones and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
- Support risk management and reporting activities.
Additional Responsibilities may include
Contracts:
- Review, analyze, and draft contract terms and conditions.
- Assist in negotiations with clients and vendors.
- Ensure contract compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Presentations:
Prepare and deliver quarterly presentations to leadership, summarizing:
- Key learnings and insights from each rotation.
- Accomplishments and challenges encountered.
- Recommendations for process improvements or strategies to address identified gaps.
What you’ll Bring:
- Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
