Job Description:
CHQ Strategic Space Planner is an experienced professional with knowledge of job area and practical knowledge of corporate occupancy planning and space management. This senior-level Space Planner will oversee space utilization, provide interior design services, manage renovation requests, and provide and move management support for multiple sites of mixed-use space across the L3Harris sites. (27M SF global real estate portfolio).
This Senior Specialist, Space Planner will work as part of a small team responsible for occupancy database management (Archibus), move management, reporting metrics, design support, and AutoCAD drawing database management. Travel will be required on an as-needed basis. Position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and critical thinking skills. Requires effective time management and organizational skills, successful management of multiple high priority tasks and strong computer literacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain an accurate occupancy database through an existing Archibus database, provide reporting to ensure accurate cost allocation through Finance
- Analyze and interpret occupancy reporting; report occupancy & utilization metrics to leadership at regular cadence
- Assist in selection of furniture and finishes, create design renderings, and work collaboratively with internal customers on iterative design approaches to meet the requirements within defined budgets
- Create furniture specification packages for bid based on existing L3Harris corporate standards
- Implement office hoteling / ‘free address’ for remote and hybrid employees to optimize office space utilization
- Partner with Business Unit (BU) representatives, ability to facilitate discussions regarding requirements (headcount/growth, allocations, adjacencies, special support needs) for office and mixed-use space.
- Interpret customer requests, provide design concepts and AutoCAD drawings for demolition / renovations, and develop scope of work for Facilities Engineering estimates
- Update Facilities drawings in AutoCAD based on renovation projects, with adherence to L3Harris existing drawing / layer standards
- Partner with manufacturing and engineering teams to coordinate office and non-office relocations
- Working with site leads to integrate additional sites into Archibus database across L3Harris
- Develop feasibility studies for future-state site utilization/consolidation
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Interior Design, Architecture, or related Facilities field and minimum of six (6) years job-related experience. Alternately, a Graduate Degree and a minimum of four (4) years job-related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- 4+ years of relevent experience including space planning, interior design, restacking plans, master planning, space analysis, move management, working off engineering blueprints and AutoCAD drafting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Profiencency using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Powerpoint AutoCAD, MS Project and Estimating software.
- CIDQ certified, state license in Architecture or Interior Design, or graduate degree
- Working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations including those mandated by OSHA, ADA, NFPA, NEC, EPA and local Building Code.
- Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Profienency performing data analysis and comfortable working in a database.
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont, Washington State and New York State is $67,000-$124,000. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area and New York City, the salary range for this role is $76,500-$141,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements.
