Job Description:
ARDE in Carlstadt, NJ designs and manufactures pressure vessels for aerospace applications. ARDE is currently seeking an experienced Material Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be able to work in a dynamic environment with changing requirements and schedules, be able to effectively interface with all levels of personnel and have the ability to plan, organize, and track work assignments. Candidate will have responsibility for planning the fabrication of multiple production programs.
Essential Functions:
• Maintain and generate planning requirements including materials, tooling and supplies
• Procurement planning including requisition generation and supplier coordination
• Schedule and coordinate the flow of materials with shop supervisors
• Logistics planning including preparation of shipping documents
• Preparation of shop orders to support production schedules
• Coordination with other organizations as needed to ensure that schedule commitments are being met
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
- Must be proficient in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must possess good problem solving ability and strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to operate effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in a manufacturing environment in the aerospace industry is preferred.
