Senior Security Officer
Intelligence & Cyber International (ICI)

The Opportunity:
We are a company on the move and with forecasted growth of L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems Australia we are now seeking to hire a Security Officer who will be responsible for supporting routine tasks and all security aspects, acting as alternate point of contact and advisor to management and staff on all aspects of security. Secondary point of contact for all Government Contracting Authorities and for monitoring and ensuring the application of security controls for the appropriate protection of government and company information and information assets.
Responsibilities will include:
- Hold the position of Crypto Custodian and manage the company CAM security and reporting responsibilities
- Provide SME knowledge and guidance to the business supporting technical discussions and guiding the development of Crypto management tools and to win further programs
- Conduct of Company training in Crypto management
- Coordinate and Conduct User training on L3Harris Crypto products
- Ensure the business meets international and domestic crypto shipping compliance requirements.
- Fulfil the role as main POC for liaison with ADF IRT rotating items for repair and customer enquires.
- Liaise with domestic and international technical staff to coordinate and conduct minor calibration and repairs.
- Coordinate return of equipment to L3Harris SME for more extensive repairs
- Meet Australian Government Stocktaking requirements
- Manage the L3Harris Crypto Product Inventory control including the conduct of Stocktakes and reporting.
Support the application of security procedures and practices in accordance with the companies Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership and Defence security Principles Framework (DSPF). - Support the company’s Information Security Management System in accordance with the Australian Government Department of Defence, L3HARRIS SASA Security Policy Framework (SPF), L3HARRIS Corporate Information Security Policy and NIST SP-800 series standards.
Essential Requirements:
- CAM qualifications and experience in managing Crypto Accounts
- Good understanding and experience of NIST SP-800 series and following skills are desirable
- Good computer literacy with the ability to effectively use common office applications eg MS Word, Excel
- Preferred defence or defence industry experience with experience in Cyber and Information Technology Systems
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines with a keen eye for detail ensuring effective prioritisation of workload
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both internally & externally
with utmost tact, firmness, clarity and discretion is a vital part of this role
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong problem solving skills
