Job Description:
The Program Management Excellence (PMX) team within the Intergarted Mission Systems (IMS) business segment is looking for an experienced Proposal and Program Manager, well-versed in People, Process, and Tools best practices within the Aerospace & Defense industry to serve as “Sector Lead” in support of the implimentation of numerous continuous improvement solutions. The successful candidate will also serve as the single point of PMX contact for the sector and work effectively with the other members of the PMX staff, functional partners, and the program teams.
The candidate will play a pivotal role in the implimentation and adoption of the Repeatable Program Excellence (RPX) framework, and also provide strategic support to other sector initiatives as directed by the sector president and leadership team.
Essential Functions:
- Repeatable Program Excellence (RPX) implimentation:
- Program Leadership Team (PLT) Certification program
- Readiness for Program Management (RPM) rotational program
- Common Work Breakdown Structure (CWBS)
- Common Data Matrix (CDM)
- Cobra Standardization
- Risk Tracker
- Schedule Metrics Analysis & Reporting Tool (SMART)
- Program Health Dashboard (PHD) & Automated Program Review Template (PRT)
- Support to Sector / Programs:
- Various sector, division, and proposal/program reviews
- Ensuring scheduling support to proposals/programs
- Enforcement of Program Management policy and process requirements
- Continuous improvement projects
- Coordination of training requirements and training instruction for program teams
- Coordination in support of internal and customer audits
- Coordination and adjudication of PMX support priorities
- Performance Analysis / Reporting:
- Schedule performance analysis
- Earned value management and EAC metrics
- Training metrics
- Ability to Travel – up to 25%
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or STEM with a minimum of 12 years of experience or post-graduate degree and 10 years of experience.
- Prior proposal management, program management, and EVMS experience.
- Ability to obtain Department of Defense (DoD) Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance.
- Demonstrated ability to present to executives/management on important topics.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, identify problems, and propose solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally, across geographically-disbursed teams.
- Prior experience providing instructional training to program team(s).
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
- Knowledge of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
