Job Description:

L3Harris Technologies is currently seeking a high-energy Program Manager to lead the growth and execution of Production programs within the Military Displays business. The Program Manager is accountable for the cost, schedule, and technical performance and will be required to brief internal and external customer leadership on the status of the assigned contracts.

Essential Functions:

• Direct the responsibilities and activities of the integrated program team (IPT) including program management, contracts, finance, engineering, operations, supply chain, security, and additional support functions as required
• Act as the primary customer interface for program activities and leads program meetings/reviews with the customer and executive staff to communicate program status
• Establish execution milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules; and identifies challenges the team may encounter Provide strategic direction, set priorities, and resolve day-to-day issues to achieve the cost and schedule objectives
• Perform risk/opportunity/issue assessments, tracking, resolution, escalation, and closeout to ensure satisfactory program performance
• Develop innovative solutions to resolve difficult program challenges including cost, schedule, and technical performance
• Lead, specifically in an influence without authority position as well as positively influence and train/develop direct reports, peers, and others

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience

High volume production experience required
• Experience with Fixed Price contracts and Fixed Price major subcontracts
• Excellent problem-solving skills along with strategic thinking for the long-term benefit of the program
• People-oriented person who enjoys interacting with people and working with cross-functional teams
• Solid interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Additional Skills:

• EVMS knowledge demonstrated on successful production programs
• Demonstrated ability to lead Proposal Development and Capture efforts

• Experience developing/integrating mission system on an aircraft or lab environment
• Experience supporting government contractor/DOD/Aerospace companies
• Experience in Commercial and Military Aviation/Aerospace products development and test
• Demonstrated track record successfully transitioning new products and systems through qualification and into production
• Proven leadership and staff development skills
• Project Management Institute (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) Certification or working towards certification
