Job Title: Systems Engineering Intern, System Supportability (New Grad – Waco, TX)
Job Location: Waco, TX
- Perform operational analysis of aircraft systems to assess system safety, reliability, and maintainability.
- Identify and track potential hazards related to aircraft systems using MIL-STD-882.
- Establish risk assessment criteria, associate severity and probability with each identified potential hazard.
- Participate in creation of reliability models, predictions, and calculations of mean time between failure (reliability).
- Develop test procedures to support equipment environmental stress screening and qualification testing.
- Develop and participate in system safety working groups with customers.
- Contribute to FAA certification through creation of Systems Safety Analysis (SSA) using SAE ARP4761 and SAE ARP4754.
- Support software certification using RTCA DO-178.
- Use software reliability tools to identify failure modes and probability of occurrence.
- Support development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
- Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
- Support process improvement within the System Supportability Engineering department.
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
- Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration and/or model-based systems engineering
