L3Harris is actively seeking for a Security Systems Technician with an Active Top Secret Clearance. The new Security Systems Technician will assist our current Technical Security Officer to support our 21 active programs on the facility as well as the facility itself.We have a competitive benefits that start on day one of hire with a generous relocation package.

This position is also known as TSO. If selected the individual will be working with our prime TSO [WK@I-I(1] at the L3Harris facility located in Waco, Texas that will maintain the facility UL Certificate of Compliance meeting the NISPOM, JFAN6/9, and the ICD705 standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Develops, implements, and administers policies and programs related to one or more of the following areas: physical security, incident management, international, personnel security, communications security, access control, etc. Assesses programs, keeps abreast of industry, regulatory changes, or new technology and makes recommendations for changes and improvements. Oversees the activities of vendors, guard force, first responders, etc. Activities may include management and administration of security contracts, statements of work, and the procurement of goods and services. Provides specific technical and/or broad scope security support to programs, personnel, facilities, and security infrastructure.

Listed below is a detailed list of Technical Security responsibilities for alarms, access control, and video.

NEW ALARM INSTALLATION

  • Alarm System Operator
  • Closed Area/SAP/SCIF Systems
  • Central COMMAND Center

NEW ACCESS CONTROL INSTALLATION

  • C-Cure 9000 Operator
  • New card reader/I-Star controller installation
  • System programming and set up

NEW VIDEO INSTALLATION

  • Research, Engineering, and Design
  • Analog Camera installation and interface with following equipment
  • IP Camera installation
  • System programming, set up, and testing
  • System troubleshooting
  • Camera layout

MAINTENANCE

  • Alarm System
  • Card Access
  • Video

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Requires practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Top-Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Must understandComputer auditing and network intrusion detection software (NIDS)
  • Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Systems (NISP), the arms and ammunition program under the AA&E Manual, or the special access program or SCI program under the ICS 705-1 or the JAFAN 6.9.

  • Strong initiative and willingness to learn new things in a challenging environment
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
