The ISR Sector is one the business units within the Integrated Mission Systems (IMS) Segment, focused primarily on the design, modification, fielding and enduring support of both tactical and strategic Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance aircraft for US and international customers. Job Description:
The Lead Software Engineer will be responsible for software development for Linux/Windows, and embedded (real-time) applications. Applications are primarily digital intercommunication, military avionics, and mission systems. Qualified candidates must be hard working, technically competent, possess pride in ownership and a good work ethic, possess good interpersonal skills and decision making/critical thinking skills, and adaptable to change. Sets the highest ethical standards for self and others. Expected to provide input into new products/processes and implement operational plans.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (in an appropriate engineering discipline (Software Engineering or Computer Science) and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience.
- Must have U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain and maintain SECRET security clearance
- Apply computer science concepts and principles in the development of software for the applicable applications
- Apply in-depth knowledge of project management
- Design, develop, integrate and test software for applications to meet system level requirements
- Manage large complex projects through software design, development, and test
- Communicate status/issues along with solutions/recommendations within and outside of the organization
- Develop software test procedures, programs, and related documents

Preferred Skills (beyond required):
Software Engineering candidates with experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
- High level of familiarity with software patterns and modern design methodology
- Experience with UML or other object modeling tools
- Experience doing software development on Windows and/or Linux based platforms
- Familiarity with software lifecycle process
- DoD Clearance
- C/C++ experience
- SE Linux
- QT and/or DDS experience
- XML data representations
- Experience working in an embedded system environment
- Familiarity with developing software to meet cybersecurity related software requirements/constraints
- Multithreaded programming experience
- Familiarity with network architectures and communication protocols
