L3Harris is actively seeking for a 2nd shift Manufacturing Mechanical/Electrical Supervisor for our Waco, TX facility for a direct hire opportunity. We offer great competitive benefits and generous relocation package for those who qualify.

Overall Summary

The 2nd shift Manufacturing Mechanical/Electrical Supervisor is responsible for managing the strategic execution of operations associated with the Manufacturing mechanical and electrical shops.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Ensures team follows safety and compliance policies and procedures
Constant coordination with support and management teams
Daily team Gemba meeting
Reading and interpreting drawings, schematics and aircraft manuals
Responsible for performance to budget and schedule
Perform manpower planning
Perform team member evaluations
Lead the e3 (continuous improvement) strategy for the 2^nd shift manufacturing teams
Plans and establishes goals and objectives for team
Plans and executes assembly strategies
Communicates within and outside of local team needs and expectations
Oversees and ensures compliance to government regulations, policies, and procedures

Qualifications

Must be an effective communicator and possess strong motivational skills
Must have aviation related experience
Must be able to demonstrate creative problem-solving capabilities
Must be willing to work any shift, and overtime as needed
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must willing to travel up to 25% of the time
Must have a functional knowledge of MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years prior relevant experience, 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience, with no degree, minimum of 5 years of experience

Preferred Additional Skills

Previous leadership experience
Lean Six-Sigma previous experience and/or Greenbelt
Manufacturing or back shop experience
